Making East-West Connections at Chinese Arts Centre

Artist Talk: Making East-West Connections with Jonathon Man
Weds 11th January 2012, from 2:00 to 4:30pm

In the 21st century we are seeing a shift in political and economic power from West to East. Now is the time to take a cultural look at the United State and China, their respective performing arts industries, and how we in the UK might find our place in the new cultural landscape. Freelance theatre director Jonathan Man has been researching this area with support from the Arts Council England and the Sustained Theatre network, and recently returned from China having presented work at the Beijing International Fringe Festival.  He will be in conversation with Sally Lai at the Chinese Arts Centre on Weds 11th January 2012, from 2:00 to 4:30pm http://www.chinese-arts-centre.org/ Opportunities, networking and sowing seeds for international projects.
Admission is free, and places can be reserved in advance by emailing adminNW@sustainedtheatre.org.
