Urban Fusion Dance Summer School

Space2Develop (S2D) is creating a unique opportunity for young people aged 7 to 10 and 11 to 14 years, to attend an exclusive week of Urban Fusion Dance over the school summer holiday.  Urban Fusion workshop fuses together different styles such as street and contemporary dance. The project is led by top Choreographer Shaun Cope who is part of Space2develop (S2D), a company committed to developing the sector in the region and establishing a space in the Digbeth area to develop artistic creativity.
The week will involve creating dance inspired by The 2012 Olympic Games, a short performance piece where the group’s show off their work at the end of each workshop week.  There will be elements of drama and photography for dance and each young person will be given a S2D certificate for their achievement.

The two workshop age groups will run on consecutive weeks:

7 to 10 years from Monday 23th July to Friday 27th July
11 to 14 years from Monday 30th July to Friday 3rd August

Times for the Urban Fusion Dance Summer School is from 9.30am to 3.30pm daily and cost £80 for either workshop week. Each young person will be required to bring a healthy packed lunch, wear suitable clothing and provide their own appropriate footwear for dancing.
Spaces are limited to 15 per group, therefore we ask that you secure your young person’s place as soon as possible.
Should you wish to book a place or please complete the form below this page.
You will be notified when spaces become available and receive an invitation to join the groups.
