Ahead of the Mosaic conference next week The London Hub launches the International Digital Mosaic.
Be part of the conversation and help us to create a mosaic by using your webcam to record your answer(s) to one or more of the following questions
1. What was your best creative experience?
2. Who has influenced your life and work?
3. How do you know when art succeeds?
4. What change would make a difference to you and the work you do?
5. Where are the roadblocks?
6. What three words best describe the future?
Follow our easy instructions to record your answers:
•Ensure even lighting is spread across your shot. Lighting which is too directional will create uneven shadows, silhouettes and dark spots.
•Use a mic which picks up adequate amounts of sound, this is so that you will be clearly heard during your questions. If you have a built in mic this should be sufficient.
•Depending on your camera device, make sure that you are correctly exposed. For external cameras check all settings include, ISO, aperture, shutters speed and white balance.
•Check your framing. Position yourself so that you can be clearly seen within the shot. Usually placing yourself centre of the frame (cameras picture) works best.
•If using a web cam check that you are enabled to record. Mac users can record straight through PhotoBooth. Windows users can download software such as Webcam Video Capture (download – http://download.cnet.com/Webcam Video-Capture/3000-13633_4-10671720.html).
Lighting from the front makes for a clearer picture. Also having a plain backdrop helps.
Export as a Quicktime Movie with a resolution size of 512×288. This is to ensure everyones video is matched in size.

If you want to answer more than one question please record a separate clip for each one. And don’t forget to let us know who you are by including your first name, where you live in the world and where you practice your art, either at the beginning or the end of your clip.
